Job Purpose

You will be passionate about food, experienced in working in a fast-paced kitchen and have a natural flair for presentation and serving customers. From preparation to food handling and hygiene, as well as excellent customer service and time management skills - your contribution will certainly count. Whilst working in our units, you’ll find no two days will be the same serving of our vibrant menu and ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy. Your cheerful customer service puts a smile on people's faces and makes an impact in their everyday lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Excel in communication skills in interacting with customers in the serving, retail, and dining areas, promoting loyalty programs, supporting across all departments and events.
• Confidence in products upselling and cross selling. Sales driven.
• Assist in setup, run, refill and closing points of sale.
• Sale and serving of hot and cold foods, coffee beverages, while maintaining consistent taste and presentation standards.

• Champion brand standards - Ensure that the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and records are completed throughout the day.
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues.
• Manage customer’s orders in an accurate way handling cash transactions or operate the POS system with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Respect and follow company policies and procedures, including adhering to work rotas, uniform, attendance guidelines, cash handling protocols, safety and security measures and food safety regulations.
• Support basic food handling preparation procedures i.e., ice cream service, display preparation, basic kitchen support, food based activities.

• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam table and break down stations at the end of meal periods 
• Interacts with customers in the serving, retail, and dining areas

• Champion brand standards - Ensure that the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, maintaining health and safety diary and records are completed throughout the day ie. food preparation, sanitize equipment and workstations
• Demonstrating attention to detail in delivery of experience and standards

Essential Criteria

• Flexible and available weekdays and weekend, occasionally evening service
• Experience in Food service, Entertainment, Leisure or Hospitality industries
• Work consistently, accurately and efficiently with ability to work under pressure in a busy and fast paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, food handling skills
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, excellent problem solving and organisational skills with a delivery focus
• Uses initiative and has a proactive approach to work
• Proactive and a great team player who is very welcoming and personable
• Passionate about education and our future generation
